Hypnosis has been used in the medical and psycho-therapeutic world for more than two hundred years. Hypnosis has an important advantage of being able to move the rational thinking temporarily into the background, making the deeper layers of the unconscious accessible. These layers contain an enormous abundance of experiences and abilities, of which the greater part is often forgotten. During an hypnotic trance, psycho-dynamic changes take place quicker than when being in the normal state of consciousness.
The profession of hypnosis and regression therapy offers many possibilities. It can be practised part-time or full-time, privately or together with other therapists. It can be integrated with other professions such as : a psycho-therapist, a medical practitioner, a dentist, a physiotherapist, a social worker, a nurse, a midwife, a management trainer and a naturopath. Each person is unique, and requires a personal approach. This aspect makes the profession so varied.

During the training you will learn both traditional and modern techniques. This is a list of the widely used techniques that we will deal with during the course.
There are many classic and modern induction techniques, which you can use to help people go into trance. After a while, each therapist develops a preference for certain techniques. It is important to learn to use various techniques, so that you can help bring different people into trance. Most people react excellently when a classical induction is used such as : progressive relaxation, eye fixation and arm levitation. Some people demand more complex induction methods. During the training you will be taught more induction methods than required, to be able to bring almost everybody into trance.
Guided visualizations belong to the most important techniques in hypnosis. You must be able to flexibly lead your client through a visualization. This is the way your client will learn to use his/her inner images for better personal achievements or solve their problems. Nature is used often for images in visualizations. To obtain inspiration for this, time will be spent walking together in the countryside.
Lately, many techniques have been developed, which will help you to bring your client into trance in a natural way. Among these are, special relaxation music, guided visualizations, indirect suggestions, metaphors and concentrating on thoughts, emotions and bodily feelings.
It is usefull for both the therapist and the client when self-hypnosis is applied. The therapy will be more effective, and the clients will be able to work on their problems independently. The programme teaches you to apply this, and to explain the different forms of self-hypnosis to your client.
Many clients in therapy suffer from feelings of insecurity. For this, we use a number of strong post-hypnotic self-strengthening techniques. This way the client immediately feels better and more self-confident. Because of the danger of staying in the vulnerable and/or anxious emotional state after the regression, it is necessary for the client to strengthen his self confidence.
During the training, you will learn to work with the different parts/aspects or sub-personalities of the individual. Within each person reside many different personalities: an inner child, an adult, a parent, a protector, and many others. Different situations can stimulate these personalities to actively pop up and play a role. During the hypnosis the therapist can talk to these different personalities, as if they were separate individuals. Such interventions will allow the client to achieve a better understanding of the structure of his/her personality.
You will learn other important techniques such as: self-strengthening techniques, automatic writing, ideo-motorial signals, group-hypnosis, linear age-regression, post-hypnotic suggestions and hypnosis with open eyes.
